The new BMW X6M and X5M have been launched in India at INR 1.60 cr and INR 1.55 cr respectively (ex-showroom, pan-India). The new gen high performance Sports Activity Vehicles (SUVs in BMW lingo) are based on the latest iterations of the X6 and X5.
The M derivatives differ from their respective civilized siblings by means of a sportier front bumper with sharper elements and larger air intakes, the signature M badging on the kidney grille, mean looking M wing mirrors, skirts, 20-inch five twin-spoke alloy wheels, front fender vents and rear apron with reflectors.
The driver focused interiors feature M leather steering wheel with paddle shifters and M Drive buttons. The duo sport M instrument console, HUD, leather sports seats (front), a comprehensive iDrive system with numerous M specific settings including multi-traction control and drive modes.

They also feature myriad of electronic gadgetry with a sole purpose of imparting sportscar like driving dynamics.
Power comes from a 4.4-litre V8 M Twin Power turbo petrol motor which is paired to a 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Intelligent xDrive all-wheel drive system has the ability to transfer 100% power to the rear wheels. The motor puts out a colossal power of 575 PS and 750 Nm of torque.

The burly performance machines can do 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4.2 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The comprehensive M lineup in India now includes M3, M4, M5, M6, X5M and X6M.
