1 -Datsun Go Plus MPV – Datsun India will launch the new Go+ compact MPV on 15th January. This is the second Datsun car for India and it will borrow a number of features and mechanics from the Go hatchback. To get a seven seater treatment, but yet remain under four meters in length, enabling Go+ to avail excise duty benefits. To be offered only in petrol engine, Go+ MPV will sport a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering peak power of 67bhp at 5000rpm. Expect a price tag of under Rs 4 lakhs.
2- Tata Bolt – Tata Motors gears up for launch of much awaited Bolt hatchback, which was first showcased back in February 2014. Launch will take place on 22nd January. Tata Bolt is based on the X1 platform, just like the Zest. The two, Bolt and Zest look identical from front, while interiors are also same. To be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, Tata Bolt is expected to be priced from Rs 4.3 lakhs. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Maruti Swift, and Hyundai Grand i10.
3- Mercedes Benz CLA Class – Mercedes Benz CLA is also to be launched on 22nd January. To be available in India in both petrol and diesel engine options, the Mercedes CLA Class will receive a 2.0 liter petrol engine offering 183.5 PS peak power and 300 Nm peak torque. The 2.2 liter diesel engine will be capable of 136 PS power and 300 Nm torque with both engines mated to a Mercedes 7G-DCT automatic transmission. Based on the MFA – Modular Front Architecture, the new CLA Class from Mercedes Benz will compete head on with the Audi A3 while pricing should be in the INR 30-35 lakh bracket.
