New Corolla Altis, Etios Cross, LC 200, Hiace, Toyota 86 sports coupe and more at 2014 Auto Expo

The new Corolla makes its India debut this week, with sales commencing sooner or later. A 100mm longer wheelbase will sit on the engines that powered the sedan even earlier, a 1.8 petrol and a 1.4 diesel. Etios Cross sticks to the logic of crosses by carrying over most of the Etios Liva hatchback.

Here’s a detailed outlook of whta to expect: Toyota to showcase the All New Corolla Altis and New Etios Cross at the Auto Expo 2014 – The Motor Show, Toyota Booth No – 09. Toyota Booth theme is “The New Wave of Mobility”. The booth will include three zones – Fun, QDR and Technology. 17 vehicles on display include New Corolla Altis, New Etios Cross, Etios, Etios Liva, Toyota 86, Etios Liva TRD Sportivo, Etios Motor Racing, Hiace, Innova, Fortuner, Land Cruiser Prado, LC 200, Prius, Camry Hybrid and Prius Cut Body.

Toyota_GT86The Fun Zone highlights that the experience of owning and/or driving a Toyota is a Waku Doki (heart thumping anticipation and exhilaration) experience. Etios Liva TRD Sportivo infuses fun in driving. Etios Motor Racing (EMR) caters to the racing enthusiast. Toyota 86 sports coupe highlights driving fun.

The QDR Zone – Quality, Durability and Reliability encompasses the strength of each Toyota vehicle and this will be shown through Etios, Innova, Fortuner, Land Cruiser Prado, Land Cruiser 200 4WD, and Hiace premium vehicle that can seat 10 passengers comfortably.

The Technology Zone will feature Camry Hybrid – India’s first locally manufactured Hybrid vehicle, Prius, and a Prius Cut Body to display advanced hybrid tech and the working of the hybrid system. Sadly there’s no mention of Toyota Rush, an oft spoken about compact SUV, or the Avanza MPV.

Hope Toyota launch the Hiace & GT86 here in India, i think Hiace
has potential i have seen several imported Hiace’s used by private
hospitals, or hotels or as taxi’s.
