India-specific features for the new-gen Duster are expected to be concentrated around the front and rear profiles
New-gen Renault Duster is scheduled for launch in India on 26th January, 2026. Based on latest teasers and recent test mule sightings, it appears that the India-spec Duster will be getting some exclusive features. These are expected to be better aligned with specific consumer tastes and preferences in the region. Let’s check out the new details revealed in the latest spy shots.
New-gen Duster – India-specific features
As compared to the Y-shaped LED DRLs used with the international-spec new-gen Duster, the Indian version gets a sharper, horizontal LED DRL strip. This setup was first revealed in an official teaser and can also be seen on the test mule spotted recently. The DRLs will also work as turn indicators. The headlamp setup is expected to be the same as the international-spec model.

Other features include a camera mounted on the front grille and a radar sensor placed on the windscreen. Presence of a radar sensor indicates the possibility of ADAS features. This is necessary since many bestselling 4.2 m – 4.4 m SUVs already have Level 2 ADAS. International-spec new-gen Duster has ADAS features such as lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, forward emergency braking and tiredness detection alert.
The air intakes are placed just below the grille and there’s a prominent air dam at the bottom. Fog lamps are placed at the extreme ends of the bumper. Side profile has squared wheel arches, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and roof rails. The SUV is expected to get an exclusive design for the alloy wheels. ORVMs are equipped with camera modules, hinting at the likelihood of a 360° surround view feature. New Duster is expected to get a panoramic sunroof with the top variants.

India-specific features are there at the rear as well. One of the key highlights is an interconnected format for the tail lamps. This will be different from the Y-shaped tail lamps seen with the international-spec model. Reverse parking sensors and camera are likely to be available with the new-gen Duster.

Interiors, equipment list
There could be some exclusive features on the inside as well. One of the possibilities include a triple-screen dashboard layout, which could be offered with the top variants. Other variants could be using a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument console, as available with the international-spec model.
New-gen Duster is also expected to get a powered tailgate. Interiors will offer premium tech features while staying focused on everyday practicality. Equipment list could include features such as dual-zone climate control, automatic AC, wireless charger, electronic parking brake with auto hold, premium audio system and keyless entry.
New-gen Duster – Powertrain options
India-spec Duster is expected to get a range of powertrain options including petrol, strong hybrid and CNG. However, at the time of launch, only petrol engines are expected to be on offer. One of these could be the 156 hp 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit available with the international-spec model.

New-gen Renault Duster is expected to be offered in India at a competitive price point. It could be launched in the price range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. It will go up against some tough rivals such as Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris and Toyota Hyryder.
