2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift gets upgraded exteriors. Though the overall design remains the same, the facelift will be seen with reprofiled front end, a wider hexagonal grille, LED daytime running lights and larger head lamps with sport projector lens. Larger fog lamps and revised tail lamps will also be seen. The facelift will sit on new alloy wheels and get new roof rails.
Ford EcoSport facelift receives an all black color scheme and top end variants will get leather upholstery. One of the biggest interior changes will be a new floating 8” touchscreen infotainment system supporting SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, this 8” screen will also be on top end variants with lower variants getting a 6.5” screen. Voice commands for music and phone calls, climate control system, digital display and 4 radio speakers are also a part of the interior updates.
2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift will be offered in Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+ variants, comes in with new safety features among which are ABS and EBD which will be offered as standard and then depending on variants, the list of safety features include Ford Emergency Assistance System, front dual airbags, pretensioners and load limiters, seat belt reminder, crash unlocking system and power door locks. Range topping Titanium+ gets cruise control, adjustable speed limiter, side and curtain airbags and rain sensing wipers along with automatic headlamps and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Engine specifications – 2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift is powered by a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated 3 cylinder petrol engine from Ford’s Dragon series. This engine offers 120 bhp power and 150 Nm torque. A 1.5 liter TDCi diesel engine continues to be on offer capable of 100 bhp power and 205 Nm torque.
2017 Ford EcoSport Facelift will be produced at the company facility in Chennai, both for local and export markets. Prices will range between INR 7-11 lakhs.
