The first launch from Ford this calendar year is the new Ford Endeavour SUV. Launched in India at INR 24.75 lakh, the new Endeavour is open for bookings at a down payment of INR 1 lakh. Ford Endeavour measures 4,892 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,837 mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and offers ground clearance of 225 mm.
This is the third generation Endeavour. In India, it will be available with two engine options – to include a 2.2 liter TDCi diesel engine offering 158 bhp power and 385 Nm torque and a 3.2-liter engine capable of 197 bhp power and 470 Nm torque. The 2.2-liter engine comes mated with either a 6 speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission while the 3.2-liter engine only gets a 6 speed AT. Also, the 2.2-liter variant gets both 4×2 and 4×4 drive options, while the 3.2-liter variant is only offered with a 4×4 option.

On board features include a Ford SYNC infotainment system, 8 way adjustable front seats and cruise control. It also gets rear parking sensor and a bunch of safety features that include dual front airbags, side airbags, curtain airbags and ABS with EBD besides electronic stability program. Setting the Ford Endeavour apart in its class, the Endeavour is set to tackle the most challenging of terrains thanks to Terrain Management System wherein the driver can select from rock, sand, snow options via a knob. This will allow the driver to have better control of the vehicle while its high ground clearance of 225mm adds to its massive SUV stance.
