New Ford Figo Cross spied on test in India for the first time
Ford Figo Cross is reportedly set for launch in India in early 2018. The car is already on sale in Brazil.
The Ford Figo Cross has been spied on test on the outskirts of Pune in Maharashtra by CarAndBike.com. It was under heavy camouflage but several features were evident among which were its roof rails and black alloy wheels. The new crossover on test was finished in Oxford White.
It gets a new front grille which is narrower and sits lower than that seen on its current counterpart. Headlamp design is also changed and body cladding starts from lower lip on the front bumper and extends to wheel arches at the rear. 6 spoke dark alloy wheels were also evident and tail lamps also sported a darkened smoked effect.
Interiors of the soon to be launched Ford Figo Cross, though not evident on the model on test, will also sport some changes. These could include a touchscreen unit with SYNC3 support, a new instrument console and new steering wheel design. Seating and upholstery could also get modified with better comforts and new look. Ford Figo Cross was first launched in Brazil.
In terms of engine specifications, Ford Figo Cross could get the new engine, which will first be launched with new EcoSport facelift later this year. This is a 1.5 liter Dragon petrol 3 cylinder engine which delivers 120 PS power.
It will be mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. Once officially launched in India, Ford Figo Cross will compete against the likes of VW Polo Cross, Toyota Etios Cross, Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura, etc.
