In terms of its design, drivability and equipment list, third-gen Duster will be the most well-equipped version till date
Renault is working on new-gen Duster, which was recently spotted on road tests somewhere in Europe. Launch is expected later this year, most likely in the last quarter. India could get the new-gen Duster in 2025. It will rival bestsellers such as Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos.
Based on spy shots, a digital render reveals interesting details about the upcoming new-gen Duster. The SUV has undergone major transformations, inspired by Dacia Bigster concept that was showcased in 2021.
2024 Renault Duster styling – Front and Rear design
One of the most noticeable aspects of 3rd-gen Duster is its strong and robust street presence. It looks heavy, magnetic and unshakable, something that one can always rely upon. The chiselled panelling all across is another major attraction, which helps ensure a sharp overall profile. The SUV is bold in its design and exudes a sense of power and confidence.
In its rendered format, 2024 Duster seems to have a more attractive design in comparison to the likes of Creta and Seltos. Production version will be a close match, although there could be some subtle changes here and there. Some of the key highlights of new Renault Duster include sleek headlamps, horizontally positioned LED DRLs, wide air intake, prominent bumper and layered bonnet design.
Side profile has squared wheel arches, sporty alloy wheels, curved panelling, roof rails and thick body cladding. Rear door handles are mounted on the C-pillar, which is a first for Duster. At rear, 2024 Duster gets unique Y-shaped tail lamps and a tank-style chunky bumper.
Insides of 3rd-gen Duster are yet to be revealed. However, it will be safe to assume that the SUV will be getting a comprehensive range of features. It will include a large touchscreen infotainment system, premium sound system and dedicated connectivity suite. ADAS is also likely to be available with top-spec variants of 2024 Duster.
3rd-gen Duster performance
Complementing its aesthetic superiority, 2024 Renault Duster is also built to deliver a more enthralling ride experience. It is based on the new CMF-B modular, which replaces the existing B0 platform. The new platform will deliver more refined performance and reduce NVH (noise, vibration and harshness). CMF-B platform also has capabilities to support multiple powertrains such as petrol, hybrid and even electric.
However, for Indian market, Renault may not go beyond ICE powertrains for new Duster. It is part of the company’s India strategy, wherein electric options will be considered only for entry-level cars. For C-segment cars, Renault will stick with ICE powertrains. So, 2024 Renault Duster is unlikely to get a hybrid or electric version at the time of launch in India. However, it can be a possibility in future, when hybrids and EVs become more commonplace.
