New Honda Accord at 2016 Bangkok Motor Show (LIVE)

New-gen Honda Accord is going to be launched in India later this year.

Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in India last month, the new Honda Accord sedan has made its debut at the ongoing 2016 Bangkok Motor Show. In Thailand, new Honda Accord is available with both conventional petrol engines as well as a hybrid motor.

In all, five variants of new Honda Accord sedan are on sale in Thailand. These are 2.0E, 2.0EL, 2.4EL, Hybrid, and Hybrid Tech. The first three variants are powered by petrol engines, while the latter two are powered by advanced full hybrid systems. All variants are mated to CVT gearbox.

The first two variants are powered by 2.0 liter which is rated at 155 PS at 6,500 rom and 190 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The larger and more powerful 2.4 liter variant delivers 174 PS at 6,200 rpm and 225 Nm torque at 4,000 rpm.

Honda Accord 2.0E – 1,385,000 Baht (INR 26.39 lakh)
Honda Accord 2.0EL – 1,445,000 Baht (INR 27.54 lakh)
Honda Accord 2.4EL – 1,635,000 Baht (INR 31.16 lakh)
Honda Accord Hybrid – 1,659,000 Baht (INR 31.62 lakh)
Honda Accord Hybrid Tech – 1,899,000 Baht (INR 36.19 lakh)

Measuring 4,930 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, 1,465 mm in height, new Honda Accord sits on a wheelbase of 2,775 mm and has a ground clearance of 141 mm. Dry weight is in the range of 1,520 kg to 1,560 kg. Except for the base 2.0E variant, which gets 17 inch alloys (with 225/50 rubber), all other variants get 18 inch alloys wrapped in 235/45 rubber.
