2019 Honda CB150R Streetster debuts in Thailand – Price 99,800 Baht (Rs 2.2 L)

Honda has officially unveiled the 2019 CB150R Streetster in Thailand. It is priced at 99,800 baht (Rs 2.16 lakh). Though there are no confirmed announcement from Honda India, reports suggest that it could be launched here next year (the bike has been patented in India). Once launched, it will sit below the recently launched CB300R in the company lineup.

2019 Honda CB150R Streetster is essentially an upgraded version of the CB150R ExMotion. It gains a new paint scheme and other cosmetic updates while mechanics stay the same as that seen powering the ExMotion. The CB150R Streetster is offered in three color options of Ivory White, Nightfire Red and Speedway Mat Black. It gets sporty accents on fuel tank, red brake calipers with petal discs and underbody exhaust system.

It also sports gold colored anodized USD forks in the front. The lightweight swing arm offers the rider with good amount of balance and added stability on the road. It receives ‘150’ badging on its rear seat panels and like the ExMotion, gets LED headlamps, floating tail lamps, a digital instrument cluster.

2019 Honda CB150R Streetster dimensions stand at 1,973mm length, 822mm width and 1,053mm height. It gets ground clearance of 139mm, seat height of 795mm and wheelbase of 1,296mm while kerb weight is at 123 kgs and fuel tank is of 8.50 liter capacity. It sits on 17” wheels at the front and rear fitted with 110/70-17 M/C 54H front and 150/60-17 M/C 66H rear tyres. The 150mm rear tyre provides the rider with good feedback and confidence at higher speeds.

2019 Honda CB150R Streetster gets its power via a 150cc, DOHC, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine offering 20 bhp power and 15Nm torque, meeting Euro VI emission standards. If launched in India, the CB150R Streetster might lose some features in order to keep costs in check. Upon launch, it can take on the likes of Yamaha MT15 in the segment.

With the CB300R now launched in India, chances of the launch of CB150R are increased. The reason being, both motorcycles share parts. With Honda India already invested in locally producing the CB300R, it will now be easier to locally produce more motorcycles from the same family.
