Making its debut in the Indonesian markets, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has presented the 2019 Honda CBR150R with new body graphics and color schemes. The colors include Matte Black, Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, and MotoGP Edition.
Body graphics offer a more premium stance while a taller windscreen provides for enhanced wind protection specially at higher speeds. Along with these updates, the2019 Honda CBR150R ABS also gets a digital color display instrument console, dual LRD headlamps with LED blinkers and an ABS sticker on its fender.
It receives a muscular fuel tank, distinctive fairing and dual tone exhaust with brushed aluminum tip and a split, step-up saddle. It sports telescopic forks in the front and monoshock at the rear. This helps the bike to offer better handling in adverse road conditions. The 2019 Honda CBR150R gets five level setting for front and rear suspension. Braking is via single disc in the front and at the rear while in terms of safety. ABS and new emergency stop signal – ESS is offered as standard.
2019 Honda CBR150R is powered by a 150cc, DOHC, 4 valve, liquid cooled engine offering 17.1 PS peak power at 9,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox sending power to the rear wheel. The bike is ideally suited for everyday riding and for long hauls over the weekend.
Prices start at Rp.33,800,000 (Rs 1.63 lakhs) for the standard variant and going up to Rp.38,700,000 (Rs 1.87 lakhs) for the top of the line MotoGP ABS edition.
Launch of the 2019 Honda CBR150R in India is expected to happen in 2019. It will come in with ABS which has been made mandatory by the Government for all bikes above 125cc displacement. It will compete directly with the Yamaha R15 V3 upon launch in the country. Pricing is slated to stay under the Rs 1.40 lakh mark, thanks to heavy localization.
