New Honda City sales cross 2 lakh since launch in India

Honda City has emerged as the fastest selling mid-sized sedan in the country. Total sales from January 2014 to April 2015 stood at 1,01,299 units in 15 months of launch, reaching 2,00,098 units by end of August 2016.

The face of Honda Cars in India, was initially launched in January 1998. It has been an instant success in the country backed by strong quality and efficient after sales service. Over the years, it has amassed over 6.3 lakh customers.

The Honda City has been a leader in quality and was ranked at No. 1 by JD Power Initial Quality Study for the 14th time. Honda City has been the face of Honda in the country and has not only appealed to a select set of buyers but has also appealed to a younger audience with a large percentage of customers having opted for the Honda City as their first vehicle.

4th Generation Honda City continues to sport advanced technologies while offering good performance and high level of fuel efficiency. Honda City comes in with i-VTEC and i-DTEC engines along with safety features that include ABS, EBD, SRS airbags and ACE – Advanced Compatibility Engineering body shell. This 4th generation model is priced from INR 7.42 lakhs for the base petrol, and INR 8.62 lakhs for its base diesel engine counterpart.

Besides the ever popular Honda City, Honda Cars India also has the Honda Brio, Honda Jazz, Honda Amaze, Honda Mobilio, Honda BR-V and Honda CR-V in their product range. The company will launch the new Accord and Civic in the coming months.
