New Honda Civic debuts at 2018 Auto Expo – Launch in India next year

The new Honda Civic slated for launch in India later this year gets petrol and diesel engine options.

On display at the 2018 Auto Expo being held at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, the new Honda Civic is on display. Seen in sporty exteriors and plush interiors, it will be launched in India next year. Expect prices to start from Rs 15-20 lakh once launched.

The one you see in the images here, is the current Honda Civic. This model will get a facelift later this year. It is this facelifted model which will be launched in India.

Interiors are seen in leather wrapped and well ventilated seats with power adjustability, soft plastics throughout the cabin and chrome accepts adding a touch of class while technology includes paddle shifters for automatic variants along with valet function, easy read out central display and safety features among which are ABS, dual airbags, EBD, electronic brake.

New Honda Civic measures 4,630 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width and 1,415 mm height. It sits on a wheelbase measuring 2,700mm and 17” alloy wheels. It has boot space of 427 liters and fuel tank capacity of 47 liters. Top-end variants will also be seen with lane watch, wireless charging, 6 airbags, 10 speaker audio system, cruise control and collision mitigation.

Set to bridge the gap between the Honda City and Honda CR-V, the new Civic will be offered with petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.8 liter i-VTEC petrol engine is expected to offer 135 bhp power and 170 Nm torque and the 1.6 liter i-DTEC diesel delivers 118 hp and 300 Nm torque.
