Honda Motors India is all set to launch their new CR-V SUV in Indian markets by next month. Prices are expected to be competitive. Once launched, the new Honda CR-V will compete with the likes of Hyundai Santa Fe, BMW X1, Nissan X Trail and Chevrolet Captiva.
For India the new 2013 CR-V will be offered only in petrol guise. The SUV was first seen at the 2011 LA Auto Show where it was viewed as a bigger and wider variant with an aggressive external design. Interiors were refreshed and boasted of the latest in technology. The vehicle was spotted on test in various locations in north India since the past few months. It has been conformed from company sources, that this new CR-V will receive a 2.0 liter i-VTEC petrol engine generating 155 PS power and 200 Nm torque.
The engine will be mated to a 5 speed manual transmitting power to all four wheels. Honda CR-V will be assembled from CKD kits which will go a long way in keeping prices at competitive levels. For more information on the CR-V, scroll down.
