New Honda CR-V Modulo showcased at 2017 Bangkok Motor Show

Honda Thailand has launched the 2017 CR-V. Along with the standard CR-V, the company has also introduced three styling packages and accessories which include Extra-Ordinary, Sport and Smart.

These styling packages are priced from THB 23,500 to THB 49,500 (INR 44,264 to INR 93,221). The base level Extra-Ordinary package includes a Modulo front grille, ORVMs finished with chrome and tailgate accents.

Smart Package consists of an aero style bumper, running board and tail accents while Sport Package consists of a new front grill design, among those offered with the Smart Package. 18” alloy wheels and chrome exhaust pipe finisher are other accessories to the Modulo package which can be availed of individually at additional costs.

2017 Honda CR-V Modulo is being offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. These include a 2.4 liter i-VTEC petrol engine mated to a CVT and a 1.6 liter i-DTEC turbodiesel engine offering 160 hp peak power and 350 Nm peak torque mated to a 9 speed automatic transmission.

The Thailand spec Honda CR-V grows in dimensions as compared to its older counterpart. The new 2017 CR-V is 5mm longer, 35mm wider and 39mm higher and sits on a 40mm longer wheelbase thus measuring 4,587 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, 1,689 mm high with wheelbase of 2,660 mm.

It gets full LED headlamps, tail lamps and fog lights, a shark fin antenna and comes in an all black color scheme with silver accents. Interior seating is power adjustable with second row seats reclining. Its instrument cluster is a TFT unit as seen on the Honda Civic and a 7” touchscreen display is positioned on its central console boasting of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
