New Hyundai i30 Tourer debuts at 2017 Geneva Motor Show
The New Generation Hyundai i30 is Hyundai Motor's DNA car in Europe.
At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the new i30 Tourer made its global debut. It is exclusively designed for European markets. It can be noted with styling cues borrowed from new i30 hatchback while powertrain specifications too are the same.
New generation Hyundai i30 is built on the company’s new design language, receives new external and internal updates and updated mechanics best suited for European markets. It is developed, tested and manufactured in Europe and owes its design to Hyundai Motor Europe’s Technical Center in Rüsselsheim.
New Hyundai i30 Tourer boasts of a cascading grille design vertical LED daytime running lights, full LED headlamps a tapering roofline and enhanced dimensions. It commands an overall length of 4,585mm, 1,465mm height and 1,795mm width. It sits on a 2,650mm wheelbase and has 602 litres of boot space expandable to 1,650 litres when rear seats are folded down. The boot also receives added storage space below its floor.
On board infotainment includes a free floating 8” screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and LIVE services besides wireless charging for smartphones with Qi standard, Bluetooth connectivity and My Music functionality.
The i30 Tourer is powered by turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine. The 1.4 litre T-GDI offers 140 PS peak power while the three cylinder 1.0 litre T-GDI is capable of 120 PS peak power. It also gets a 1.6 litre turbo diesel engine offering 110 PS power. Each of these engines gets mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox and a 7 speed dual clutch transmission as an option.
