New Hyundai ix25 SUV to get i20 Active styled funky interiors

Hyundai India promises launch of the new Hyundai ix25 compact crossover just ahead of the festive season.

Spied testing once again, Hyundai ix25 compact crossover (codenamed Hyundai GS) new interior details are now available.

2015 Hyundai ix25 will measure 4.27 meters in length and is based on the Hyundai Fluidic sculpture 2.0. Stylish 5 spoke alloy wheels were evident as was enhanced ground clearance while roof rails were observed on top of the roof. Powering the Hyundai ix25 compact crossover is a 1.4 liter VTVT petrol engine while its diesel counterpart will receive a 1.4 liter CRDi unit. Both engines are coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, with choice of front wheel drive and all wheel drive system.

Autocar India reveals that interiors of Hyundai ix25 will boast of black & beige and black & orange/blue color scheme (very much like the one we saw on i20 Active) with silver inserts. It will also include a multifunction steering wheel, gear knob and switchgear as is seen in other Hyundai models while infotainment features will include touchscreen with Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in connectivity and navigation and reversing camera.

Hyundai ix25 compact crossover 5 seater will be launched with multiple variants all priced between INR 9-12 lakhs. To compete head on with the Mahindra Scorpio, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and upcoming Suzuki A-Cross, the company promises to launch the crossover in a few months time. They are targeting sales of 4,000 units each month.
