Hyundai Tucson 4×4 TVC revealed – Booking nos on the rise

First showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February this year, new Hyundai Tucson was launched earlier this month in India. This is not the first time Tucson is being offered in India. In fact, Indian consumers are very well aware of the SUV as the previous generation was on sale as a CBU.

Later it had to be discontinued due to high price tag. This time around, Hyundai India has managed to bring the Tucson in CKD format, thus keeping the price tag comparatively lower. This has led to a good initial run for the Tucson. The car has already received about 500 orders.

The Indian-spec Tucson is offered with a 2.0 liter petrol and 2.0 liter diesel engine option. The petrol Tucson generates 155 ps @ 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm @ 4,000 rpm while the diesel Tucson delivers 185 ps @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750 – 2,750 rpm. Transmission options on offer include 6 MT and 6 AT while drive system is a FWD unit. No AWD version is on offer.

The new generation Hyundai Tucson is seen with fresh exteriors and revamped interiors. Exteriors boast of a hexagonal front grille, efficient LED twin projector headlamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. Sitting on an extended wheelbase, interior space is at a premium. In fact it is the interiors which impress more.

Inside the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, receives premium and soft touch materials while a leather pad is see located near the driver’s right knee offering better comfort during longer rides. Infotainment is via a 8” HD color display with rear view camera and touch screen options. Space is at a premium and cargo room can be extended with rear seats in a 60/40 combination while reclining is adjustable depending on cargo and passengers.
