New Hyundai Verna Facelift has arrived in showroom, bookings have have opened
Ahead of its official launch in India, the new Hyundai Verna facelift sedan with BS6 petrol and diesel engine options has arrived at showroom. Bookings have already been open. Launch of new Verna will take place in the coming days. MRD Vlogs have now shared exclusive photos and videos of the new Verna Facelift from a showroom in India.
2020 Hyundai Verna facelift is seen with a new front fascia, blacked out and wider front grille, new LED head lamps, fog lamp housing and a new set of alloy wheels. Towards the rear will be a restyled bumper, revised LED tail lamps with new graphics and a faux diffuser. It will be offered in 13 colour options. Below is the first look video.
The cabin sports a more premium look with quality material all around. It gains an updated dashboard, central AC vents and a new 8” touchscreen infotainment system. However, the Verna facelift detailed in Russia is not as premium as that sold in China where it is seen with a virtual instrument cluster, powered front seats, automatic engine start and a 4 speaker premium audio system. These features will also be missing on the India spec model.
2020 Hyundai Verna facelift in Russia is sold in four variants of Active, Active Plus, Comfort and Elegance while there is also a Special Edition. It gets on board safety equipment of dual airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, emergency call device, height adjustable driver seat, tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control.
2020 Hyundai Verna Engines
The Russian spec Hyundai Verna facelift gets powered via two engine options. The 1.4 liter offers 99.66 PS power and 132.4 Nm torque while the 1.6 liter engine is capable of 123 PS power and 150.7 Nm torque with both engines mated to 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic transmission options. In India, the 2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will get BS6 compliant 1.5 liter diesel and petrol engine options mated to manual or automatic gearbox options. The petrol engine could also get a CVT while the diesel engine could receive a 6 speed torque converter.
In addition to the above options, it will also be offered with a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine. This is the same engine which powers the Hyundai Venue. It is expected to deliver power in the range of 120 PS and torque in the range of 177 Nm. It will also get paddle shifters.

2020 Hyundai Verna Prices
Launch of the 2020 Hyundai Verna in India will see it face upto competition from the next gen Honda City along with the Skoda Rapid, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, VW Vento and Toyota Yaris. It will witness a price hike by Rs.20,000-30,000 over the current model which is priced from Rs.8.17-14.07 lakhs.
