2015 Hyundai Verna TVC released; sales comparison of C-segment sedans
While Hyundai Verna has a lot of competitors, including Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Fiat Linea, Nissan Sunny and Renault Scala, the sedan’s biggest hurdles to become the best seller are named Honda City and Maruti Ciaz, ranked one and two respectively in terms of monthly sales.
Honda City manages to sell over 7,000 units per month on an average, while sales of Maruti Ciaz fluctuates greatly but averages at around 5,000 units. Replaced Hyundai Verna barely sold just 2,000 units, which is around twice the sales of Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and Ford Fiesta & Classic combined. Nissan Sunny sells around 500 units a month, Fiat Linea around 200 and Renault Scala less than 100.
This means, Maruti Ciaz sells more than all the sedans in C-segment combined except Honda City, and Honda City sells around the figure of Ciaz’s and Hyundai Verna’s sales put together. But with new looks and features, 2015 Verna facelift is confident of climbing up the ladder and raising the bar. Watch new Hyundai Verna TVC below:
