New Indian Scout Bobber makes global debut – Bookings open in India
Indian Motorcycle adds the Scout Bobber - an all-new motorcycle based on the Indian Scout.
New Indian Scout Bobber has made global debut earlier this week. In the US, this new motorcycle is priced from $11,999. With bookings open in India, the official ex-showroom price has not been revealed yet. But expect a price in the range of INR 13 lakh.
2018 Indian Scout Bobber is powered by a 1,131cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected, Thunder Stroke III V-Twin engine offering 100 PS power and 97.7 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox. This is the same engine which also powers the Indian Scout.
Based on the Scout, 2018 Indian Scout Bobber boasts of new front and rear fenders, massive tyres and street tracker handlebar. New bar end mirrors and distinctive badging on fuel tank are also evident. The Bobber gets a low slung, brown leather seat, alloy wheels and blackened exhaust pipes.
Braking duties are accomplished via a 298mm disc brake at the rear and a 298mm unit in the front. It also gets features such as a single pod instrument cluster with analog speedometer, LCD screen for tachometer, odometer and trip meter. Low fuel indicator and engine temps are also a part of its features.
In terms of accessories, the new Scout Bobber can be had with Bobber passenger seat with sissy bar and Bobber Solo rack bag and saddle bag. It is presented in five color options of Thunder Black, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red, and Thunder Black Smoke and will compete with the likes of Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and new Triumph Bonneville Bobber.
