2017 Jaguar XF India launch price starts from INR 47.50 lakh

New generation Jaguar XF was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier last year. Launched as a CBU in September 2016, it has now entered production at the company plant in Pune.

New Jaguar XF receives a lighter aluminium iQ platform in the place of the heavier steel platform seen on its earlier counterpart. This results in a reduction of 190 kgs from its kerb weight.

Rigidity has been improved by 28%, which makes the car structurally stronger and better to drive. Compared to the older XF, new XF is shorter in length, inspite of that, interiors are more spacious than before, thanks to a 51 mm longer wheelbase.

Jaguar India has launched the new XF with 2.0 liter Ingenium diesel engine generating 180 hp and 430 Nm. Mated to an automatic transmission, Jaguar XF diesel can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds.

Along with the diesel, a 2.0 liter petrol engine will also be on offer. This engine will deliver 240 hp and 340 Nm torque. Mated to an automatic transmission, Jaguar XF petrol can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7 seconds.

A total of three trims will be on offer – Pure, Prestige and Portfolio. Jaguar XF diesel will only be offered with the Pure trim, while Prestige and Portfolio will only be offered with XF Petrol.
