New Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R launch price higher than older ZX10R by Rs 1.2 L

2019 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is now available at a price of Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-sh. Kawasaki India announced launch of the all new 2019 Ninja ZX10R and 2019 Ninja ZX10R KRT Edition last month at a booking amount of Rs 1.5 lakhs. At that time, they had not revealed price of the bike, which has now been revealed.

The new 2020 MY variant features an engine update that brings with it more power. The new Ninja ZX-10R delivers 3 PS more power and 1.4 Nm more torque. The 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled 1.0 litre engine now delivers 203 PS power. Compared to this, the outgoing ZX10R delivered 200 PS. With RAM air, the same engine delivers 213 PS power.

In its 2019 avatar, the litre-class supersport also features additional tech, and more. The bike features state of the art valve train, which has been specially designed by Kawasaki engineers. This has helped in improved low-end torque. A bi-directional quick-shifter is offered as a standard feature, considerably improving gearshifts.

The current ZX10R was first launched as a CBU. At that time price was in the range of Rs 18 lakhs. Last year, Kawasaki India started CKD operations, which brought the price in the Rs 13 lakh range. With the newest update, Kawasaki India has increased prices by about Rs 1.2 lakhs, but the ZX14R still remains the most affordable liter class sportsbike in the country.

Akin to the 2018 model, 2019 ZX-10R is also available in limited numbers. As is customary, bookings will not be entertained when said number is reached. There’s no knowing how many models are available, and bookings are still ongoing, three weeks since launch announcement. For those who book, depending on booking order, ZX-10R deliveries will get underway in mid-June. Bookings are being accepted till 30th May 2019.

Speaking about the features in detail, it comes with S-KTRC (Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control), KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function), Kawasaki Engine Brake control, KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System), Power mode selection (3 modes), Electronic throttle valves, KLCM (Kawasaki Launch Control Mode), Aluminium Twin-spar Frame, High performance BREMBO Brake system, Öhlins electronic steering damper.
