Kia’s all-new second-generation Seltos is inching closer to its global premiere on December 10. Teasers of the exteriors have given us a good idea how the SUV will be from the outside. Now, interior images have been spied ahead of launch. The images give the clearest look yet at the SUV’s redesigned cabin, confirming several major upgrades over the outgoing model.
2026 Kia Seltos GT Line Variant Spotted
The test mule seen here is the GT Line variant, featuring a dual-tone black-and-cream interior theme. The cabin layout is noticeably more modern and premium, starting with a new 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in GT Line-specific trim. The flat-bottom design and integrated controls mirror Kia’s newer global SUVs.

One of the biggest upgrades is the merged infotainment + digital driver display, forming a single connected panel — similar to the setup seen on the Kia Syros and other next-gen models. This curved-style unit enhances the cabin’s premium feel and aligns the Seltos with Kia’s evolving design direction.
Adding to the sporty ambience are metal-finish pedals, ambient lighting strips along the dashboard and door trims, and a redesigned centre console with a cleaner, more streamlined layout. The gear selector is new, the drive mode/traction options are repositioned, and storage areas appear larger and better optimised.

The interior spy shots also reveal a refreshed dashboard design with slimmer AC vents, a new HVAC control panel, and enhanced ergonomics. The materials appear to be upgraded, with textured inserts and contrast stitching visible on the seats and console. As expected in the new-gen model, Kia is pushing for a more premium feel, and the early impressions indicate significant improvements in perceived quality.
Exterior Teasers Already Confirm a Bolder, Sharper Seltos
Kia recently released official teasers confirming a bigger, more sophisticated Seltos for 2026. Highlights include:
• Redesigned LED headlamps with new light signatures
• More sculpted bonnet and upright body stance
• Geometric tail-lamp cluster with a connected light bar
• Muscular bumpers and new alloy wheel designs
• Boxier, more global SUV silhouette
Powertrain Expectations: Diesel AT Upgrade, Possible Hybrid
For India, the familiar trio of engines — 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 turbo-petrol, and 1.5 diesel — will continue. The biggest mechanical upgrade expected is a new 7-speed automatic for the diesel, replacing the ageing 6AT. Globally, the Seltos will offer a 1.6L hybrid producing 141 hp and 265 Nm.
ADAS & Safety Enhancement Expected
The new Seltos will feature an expanded ADAS Level 2 suite, improved sensors, updated software, and additional active safety tech. With competition intensifying — especially with the new Creta, Grand Vitara, Elevate, Taigun, Kushaq, and Tata Sierra — Kia is likely to strengthen safety credentials significantly.
India Launch Timeline
Both global and India premiere are scheduled for December 10, with the India launch expected in early 2026. Extensive local road testing is already underway, indicating that pre-production validation is in advanced stages. The Seltos platform updates also hint at larger exterior dimensions, translating to more cabin space, especially in the second row.
With sharper styling, a more premium interior, upgraded features and tech, and improved drivetrains, the new-gen Kia Seltos aims to redefine expectations in the mid-size SUV segment once again.
