Kia India has commenced production of all-new Seltos at its Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh. The ceremonial roll-out was attended by Gwanggu Lee, MD & CEO, Kia India, along with the Kia India management team. Kia has also confirmed that prices of all-new Seltos will be announced on January 2, 2026.
Bigger Footprint, More Road Presence
All-new Seltos has grown in size and Kia is positioning it as the longest in its segment. It measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and gets a 2,690 mm wheelbase, which should translate into better cabin room and improved stability on the move.
The new model adopts Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Key highlights include the Digital Tiger Face, Ice Cube LED Projection Headlamps with Dynamic Welcome Function, automatic streamline door handles, and new alloy wheels (with Neon Brake Calipers mentioned as part of the sportier presentation). Kia says these changes are aimed at giving the SUV a bolder, more premium identity.
Cabin & Tech: 30-inch Trinity Display, Bose Audio, Kia Connect 2.0
Inside, all-new Seltos packs a 75.18 cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display, paired with a Premium Bose 8-speaker audio system. Kia has also confirmed Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Kia Connect 2.0, OTA updates, and Kia Connect Diagnosis features. Another talking point is the first-in-segment Smart Key Proximity Unlock Function, aimed at improving everyday convenience.
India-First Global K3 Platform: Refinement & Safety Focus
A big mechanical update is the shift to Kia’s India-first global K3 platform. Kia claims it brings higher structural rigidity, revised suspension tuning and lower NVH, helping the SUV feel more refined over rough roads while also improving body control and cornering confidence.
Safety: 24 Standard Safety Pack + Level 2 ADAS
Safety remains a key headline with Kia highlighting a 24 Standard Safety Pack and Level 2 ADAS suite with 21 autonomous features, aimed at improving confidence in both city and highway driving.
Engine Options and Gearboxes
Transmission choices include 6MT, 6iMT, IVT, 7DCT and 6AT, depending on variant and powertrain. Kia has confirmed three engine options:
• Smartstream G1.5 Petrol (115 PS, 144 Nm)
• Smartstream G1.5 T-GDI Petrol (160 PS, 253 Nm)
• 1.5 CRDi VGT Diesel (116 PS, 250 Nm)
Variants and Packages: HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX + Option Trims
Kia has confirmed the trim structure as:
• Standard trims: HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX
• Option variants: HTE(O), HTK(O), HTX(A), GTX(A)
For buyers who want a sportier look, the X-Line Styling Pack will be offered exclusively on GTX and GTX(A). Kia will also offer Convenience, Premium, ADAS and X-Line add-on packages, allowing customers to further customise their Seltos.

With production now underway at Anantapur—Kia’s key India manufacturing hub—Kia says it is geared up to ensure deliveries without long waiting periods. The new model is positioned as a major step in Kia’s mid-SUV strategy, with the brand aiming to retain Seltos’ benchmark status while pushing a stronger “bigger, bolder, more tech-forward” proposition for 2026.
