2017 KTM Duke 390 Special Edition with Philippines flag livery launched
2017 KTM Duke 390 Special Edition marks its entry into the country, sporting colors of the Philippines national flag.
2017 KTM Duke 390 Special Edition, seen in distinctive colors of Blue, Red and White inspired by the country’s flag, is launched in the Philippines. It will be assembled in the country along with local partners Alala Corporation and priced at PHP 2,68,000 (INR 3.46 lakhs).
2017 KTM Duke 390 Special Edition in Philippines sports LED headlamps, ride by wire and a TFT instrument console. It also receives Metzeler sourced tyres and dual channel ABS as standard and gets a 13.4 liter fuel tank.
Commanding a dry weight of 149 kgs, the Duke 390 gets powered by a 373cc single cylinder, fuel injected engine offering peak power of 43.5 Hp and peak torque of 37 Nm mated to a 6 speed gearbox.
Earlier this month, KTM Asia Motorcycle Manufacturing, Inc. (KAMMI) inaugurated a new plant at Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Local production of select KTM models have commenced in association with the Ayala Group and as on date four KTM models are assembled which include the KTM 200 Duke, 390 Duke, RC 200 and RC 390. The plant has initial production run of 6,000 motorcycles which will be expanded to 10,000 units annually.
Though the KTM Duke 390 is produced in India, launch of any special edition in India is not on the cards. It will be fantastic if KTM India could also launch a 2017 Duke 390 with livery inspired from the Indian flag this Independence Day.
