The new Lexus LS 500h premium sedan is a 5.2 meter long limousine which has now been launched in India. This new Lexus launch follows the Lexus NX 300h SUV. Set to rival the likes of the Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Jaguar XJ and BMW 7 series, the LS 500h comes in as a CBU (completely built unit).
Already on sale in Japanese and North American markets, the Lexus LS 500h boasts of state of the art exterior features and interior comforts. Lexus LS 500h was showcased at 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Three variants are on offer in India. Price ranges from Rs 1.77 crore to Rs 1.93 crore, Ex-Showroom, Delhi.
It boasts of a dynamic design with Lexus new age, signature, oversized, hourglass shaped grille. It measures 5.2 meters in length and sits on a wheelbase of 3.1 meters. It gets a sloping roofline, alloy wheels, and adaptive LED lights and lightning bolt shaped headlamps along with aerodynamically shaped mirrors. Interiors spell comfort at every turn. Done up in choicest leather and wood seen on the dashboard and door panels, aluminum insets and quality fittings are seen throughout its makeup.
It gets an LCD instrument cluster with dials inspired by the LFA supercar and the infotainment gets Apple CarPlay. Powered seats with memory function and individually adjustable seats with a 48 decree recline for back rests are also seen in its interiors. The new Lexus comes with active noise suppression technology that makes its interiors quieter than any other previous LS.
Engine specifications on the Lexus LS 500h includes a 3.5 liter V6 engine coupled with two electric motors which offer combined output of 355 PS peak power. The engine gets mated to an eCVT but in India it will get a rear wheel drive version of the E-Four all wheel drive system. In India, the Lexus LS 500h is positioned above the ES 300h hybrid and is the company’s fourth hybrid vehicle, following the NX 300h and RX 450h.
