Mahindra has introduced a special edition Bolero Power Plus SLX. This is a limited edition model, launched especially for the festive season, which comes in with added cosmetic features and new safety regulations. This special edition also clears crash test norms that came into effect from earlier this month and has been upgraded in terms of structure.
It is priced at Rs.9.08 lakhs (ex showroom) which is around Rs.22,000 more than the top spec Bolero Power Plus ZLX variant. Its exterior is seen with a unique front profile with a chrome grille and Special Edition branding. It also gets front and rear scuff plates, a rear spoiler and a spare wheel with high mounted stop lamps.
It sits on new wheels with Goodyear tyres measuring 215/75 R15 offering high ground clearance of 180mm. Dimensions stand at 3,995mm length, 1,745mm width and 1,800mm height with a 2,680mm wheelbase. 2019 Mahindra Bolero Power Plus SLX also gets updated interiors to set it apart from its regular model with driver and passenger comforts. The cushioned seats sport a new design while the interior colour scheme in black and brown looks sporty. On the center dash is a digital instrument console. It comes in with a host of features, storage cubby holes and quality finish.
The seats get contrast stitching and soft touch upholstery. Safety features continue to include rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, speed alert, seat belt reminders for driver and front passenger. It also gets central locking system along with ABS and EBD.
Mahindra Bolero Power Plus is powered by a 1.5 liter, mHawkD70, 3 cylinder, diesel engine offering 71 bhp power at 3,600 rpm and 195 Nm torque at 1,400 rpm mated to a 5 speed gearbox driving the rear wheels. This is a BS4 compliant engine.
Mahindra Bolero has a seen outstanding sales in India to the extent of 12 lakh units; making it the highest selling UV in the country. Earlier this year, the Bolero Power Plus model also received a BS VI compliant certification from International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). This BS VI compliant model will be launched in early 2020.
