Mahindra & Mahindra will be one of the prominent names showcasing their best at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, in the field of personal-, commercial- and electric-vehicle segments of the Indian market.
At the venue, the Indian company plans to showcase 18 vehicles — including three production-ready EVs and one concept — under the theme, ‘Driven by Purpose’. The theme goes in line with Mahindra’s showcase of advanced sustainable mobility solutions to cater to the evolving needs of the brand’s loyal customer base. Being the pioneers of EV technology in the country, the company will display the widest display of all-electric or emission-free products by an Indian OEM at Auto Expo 2020.
In addition to the impressive product portfolio, Mahindra will also showcase a one-of-a-kind EV architecture for the future as well as a connected mobility platform. Batteries developed in-house and new charging-station facilities are some of the other highlights. A vision of a World of Zero Waste will be portrayed through automotive recycling and reuse initiatives. Of course, all this will happen alongside the entire showcase of the upcoming BS6 range.

The extensive display of passenger, commercial, electric and other mass-mobility products is aimed to meet the needs of today while positioning the company for the future.
Mahindra’s pavilion will be set in Hall No. 10 (Stall No. N2) at the country’s biggest biennial automotive show. At the pavilion, visitors can have a good time with their friends and family, through various digital interfaces, customer engagements and contests.
2020 Auto Expo will definitely witness the launch and unveiling of many exciting products for the Indian market. However, many are eagerly waiting to see if the all-new Mahindra Thar will make its official debut at the event. Even though Mahindra has introduced a range of desirable products in a span of about two years, the next-generation Thar seems to be of the best interest among Indian automotive enthusiasts.
Over the months, we have shared many images of the next-generation Mahindra Thar doing test runs under heavy camouflage across the stretches of the country. Unlike the previous model which shares a lot of internals with the ageing Mahindra Scorpio, the new Mahindra Thar has been developed entirely from the ground up with critical inputs from the brand’s Mahindra Adventure Off-road Training division.
The original Mahindra Thar itself was an extremely capable off-roader and we are excited to see how the brand makes the new model even better. Meanwhile, Force Motors is gearing up to launch the new BS6-compliant Gurkha as a compelling alternative to the Thar. Other exciting Mahindra cars up for debut include new gen Scorpio, XUV500, and a brand new SUV built in association with their recently formed partnership with Ford.
