Mahindra and Mahindra bring in the new XUV500 Sportz Limited Edition to Indian priced at INR 16.5 lakhs for the manual variant and at INR 17.56 lakhs for its automatic counterpart. Distinct in its exterior styling, Mahindra XUV500 Sportz Limited Edition is based on the W10 grade.
New Mahindra XUV500 Sportz Limited Edition gets sporty updates in the form of new bonnet and mirror decals along with darker alloy wheels with red brake calipers, orange roof rails and orange door handles. Fog lamps are also seen with orange inserts while a ‘Sportz’ badge is proudly displayed on the C Pillar, dashboard and key setting it apart.
Interiors of the 2017 Mahindra XUV500 Sportz Limited Edition also get some new sporty features that include reversing camera with guidelines, offline GPS navigation with 7” touchscreen, Bluetooth and USB and iPod connectivity. Where safety features are concerned, the new Sportz Limited Edition receives cruise control, climate control, rain sensing wipers, pressure monitoring system and automatic headlights. It also receives start stop function and Mahindra’s Blue Sense system.
2017 Mahindra XUV500 Sportz Limited Edition shares its engine with the regular variants. It is powered by a 2.2 liter turbocharged mHawk 140 engine offering 140 PS peak power at 3,750 rpm and 330 Nm peak torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox while an Aisin sourced 6 speed automatic is also on offer. This engine offers mileage to the extent of 15.1 kmpl while top speed stands at 175 kmph and acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 12 seconds.
Mahindra is also working on upgrading feature list of the XUV500. This updated XUV500 will come with segment first features like Intelli Hybrid, Android Auto EcoSense etc. This new variant is expected to be launched next month, where it will rival with the likes of Tata Hexa.
