Mahindra announces new contest – Choose XUV500 facelift TVC soundtrack: Video

Winners could attend Mahindra Adventure Spiti Valley Escape or get cameras.

Mahindra is running a contest, asking audience to choose a sound track for its new Mahindra XUV500 TVC from three options. The participants can sample the sound tracks at the SUV’s official website, answer to simple questions and submit their entries.

The first prize for the contest is a free entry into Mahindra Adventure’s Spiti Escape, second prize is a Canon DSLR camera and third prize (3 nos.) is a Nikon Coolpix digital camera. Mahindra also offers 100 XUV500 merchandises.

New Mahinra XUV500 TVC contest – Soundtrack Option A

The humorous video shows four Indian youths trying to recover a lost camera deep inside a jungle in Thailand (the video features women of Kayan tribe and an XUV with Thai registration plates). The party eventually finds the camera which was under a chimp’s custody. The protagonist manages to snatch the camera from the animal and make a run for it but ends up leaving his mobile phone this time!

XUV500 facelift which has a starting price of INR 11.29 lakhs (ex-showroom), features refreshed front fascia with new LED lighting signature, revamped front grille and chrome embellished foglight enclosure. The alloy wheel pattern, a chrome applique on the tailgate and dashboard color theme are also new. A new top-end W10 variant also packs in several new features such as sunroof, puddle lamps, etc.

Mechanically, new XUV500 continues unchanged. The flagship Mahindra product is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine which is good for 140 bhp and 330 Nm of torque when mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Both FWD and AWD configurations are available.
