In the entry level hatchback segment, customers tend to go with popular choice. There’s often a reluctance to experiment or try something new. This is why it has become difficult to take on segment leader Maruti Alto. The popular hatchback carries forward the legacy of Maruti 800 and has regularly featured in the list of bestselling cars in the country. On the other hand, Alto’s rivals such as Renault Kwid and Datsun redi-GO are way behind in terms of sales. Nonetheless, it’s always good to see a new contender in the arena.
Talking about redi-GO BS6 vs. Alto BS6, it’s evident that the former has various plus points such as lower pricing, segment first and best-in-class features, multiple engine options and AMT transmission. Alto BS6 strengths lie in its proven track record, reliable performance, factory fitted CNG and wide sales and service network. Eventually, the choice between the two hatchbacks will depend on things that customers value most.
