New Maruti Brezza Black Edition Arrives At Showroom – First Look

The Black Edition of Maruti Suzuki Brezza is being brought in as a direct rival to the Dark Edition of Tata Nexon

Following the introduction of black editions across the Maruti Suzuki Nexa lineup, the company has now introduced the same Pearl Midnight Black colour scheme for its models sold via the Arena outlets. The first Arena model to receive this new colour scheme is the Maruti Brezza compact SUV.

Maruti Brezza Black Edition – ZXI Variant Walkaround

Brezza Black Edition is exclusively being presented in its top ZXi and ZXI+ trim and even includes the recently introduced CNG-equipped Brezza, which also sports this new black paint option. Black Editions of the Brezza are being offered at a similar price as that seen on its other colour options ranging from Rs 10.95-13.88 lakh (ex-showroom). It has now arrived at the showroom. 2023 Brezza ZXi and ZXi+ get an all-black finished front grille, dual LED projector headlamps, floating LED DRLs, black cladding and side moulding while it rides on black finished 16 inch alloy wheels. The black colour scheme also extends to the rear with tail lamps with black outlines. In fact its entire exterior is in a black finish except for silver skid plates on its front and rear bumpers.

On the inside, Maruti Brezza Black Edition continues to sport a dual tone colour scheme. Features also remain the same with the ZXi trim receiving a 7 inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system along with a digital TFT MID. It also gets automatic air conditioning, cruise control, push button start/stop feature.

The ZXi+ trim receives a larger 9 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, head up display unit, automatic climate control and cruise control. Safety is via 6 airbags, electronic stability control and 360 degree camera. It now gets a flat bottom steering wheel, like the one seen in Nexa cars.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Black Edition sees no changes in its engine or transmission options. It continues to draw power via a 1.5 liter petrol engine making 103 hp power and 137 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. Along with Maruti Brezza, Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, DZire and Ertiga also get a similar Midnight Pearl Black paint scheme.

Maruti Brezza with S-CNG Technology

Earlier last week, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Brezza with S-CNG technology, being offered on the LXi, VXi, and ZXi trims. This made it the first sub-4 meter SUV in India to receive a factory fitted CNG kit. Priced at Rs 9.14-12.05 lakh, the Brezza CNG with a 1.5 liter dual jet VVT K series engine delivers 87.8 hp power and 121.5 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual capable of mileage at 25.51 km/kg.
