New Maruti Brezza TVC video released – Launch price Rs 7.34 – 11.4 lakhs

New Maruti Brezza has been launched in India. There is a new 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine that takes the place of the Fiat sourced 1.3 liter D13A diesel engine.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited had unveiled the new Vitara Brezza petrol at the 2020 Auto Expo. The compact SUV is now seen with a petrol engine that takes the place of the diesel engine as a part of the BS6 update while it also receives several styling and colour updates.

The Vitara Brezza petrol, offered in four trims of LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, with manual as well as automatic transmission option. The new SUV is presented in 6 colour schemes of Premium Silver, Torque Blue, Pearl Arctic While, Granite Grey, Autumn Orange and Sizzling Red and in dual tone schemes of Sizzling Red + Midnight Black, Granite Grey + Autumn Orange and Torque Blue + Midnight Black.

Exterior updates include a new front grille with faux carbon inserts, new headlamps and bumpers along with revised tail lamp design. It also gets new machine cut alloy wheels offered on the top spec trims. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Zxi+ variant will receive a leather wrapped steering wheel, auto dimming IRVMs, auto headlamps, reverse parking sensors with camera, sliding front arm rests and rain sensing wipers. Its safety equipment will include dual front airbags, speed sensing door locks, ABS, ISOFIX child seats, seat belt reminder and high speed alert.

The new 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine that makes its way onto the new Brezza also powers the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Ertiga and S-Cross. This BS6 compliant engine gets SHVS and is supported by an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and dedicated battery pack both of which combine to offer torque assistance and improved fuel economy. The petrol engine offers 104 hp peak power and 138 Nm torque mated to a standard 5 speed transmission and 4 speed automatic unit as options. As of now, only AT variants benefit from the SHVS system. Fuel efficiency as per ARAI tests see the manual variants offer 17.03 kmpl and the automatic models at 18.76 kmpl.

Bookings have opened and dealer sources have confirmed a waiting period of upto 6 weeks for the Vitara Brezza petrol. The new Vitara Brezza petrol will rival the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
