New Maruti Ertiga boot space is larger than before – Spied at a dealer workshop

More stylish than before, the new Maruti Ertiga is all set to be launched in India on 21st November. Not only it is going to be bigger and more refined than before, it will also be more luxurious and tech loaded.

Dimensions have been increased by 99mm in length, 40mm in width and 5mm in height. This makes the new Ertiga more spacious than its outgoing model especially where boot space is concerned.

The earlier model had a 185 liter boot with three rows of seating while the new Ertiga gets 24 liters more in terms of boot space which can be increased to 550 liters with third row seats turned down and further expanded to 803 liters once second row seats are folded. You can seen the new boot space, as well as the space for legroom for all three rows in the image gallery below.

Powering the new Ertiga is the same 1.5 liter petrol engine which was launched with the new Ciaz. This petrol engine is rated to deliver 104 PS and 138 Nm. Considering that this engine is more powerful than before, and the Ertiga is lighter than before; expect a huge boost in performance.

The other engine option on offer will be 1.3 liter diesel engine. This is the same engine as was on offer with older Ertiga. But this one is tuned to deliver better performance and mileage. Both petrol and diesel engine options will get SHVS mild hybrid technology. This means, the new Ertiga will also be more fuel efficient than before.

Speaking about features on offer, the new Ertiga will get projector headlights in the front, LED DRLs, LED tail lights, chrome grille, alloy wheels, faux wood inserts on the inside, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

With these new features on offer, expect prices of the new Ertiga to be increased by about Rs 50,000. Official prices will be revealed at the launch event which is on 21st Nov. It will rival Mahindra Marazzo, Honda BRV, etc.
