New Maruti Ertiga for India is more premium than Ertiga in Indonesia – Photo comparison

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially launched the next generation Ertiga MPV in India. It is offered in four petrol variants of Lxi, Vxi, Zxi and Zxi+ and four diesel variants of Ldi, Vdi, Zdi and Zdi+. The MPV is presented in five color options – Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, Real Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Arctic White and Metallic Silky Silver.

Just like internationally sold Ertiga, the one sold in India is also is positioned on a HEARTECT platform. It boasts of a bolder design with new styling and a host of upgrades both where its exterior design and interior makeup is concerned. The new Ertiga is also longer, taller and wider than its earlier counterpart offering better interior space.

In terms of its exterior updates, the new Ertiga MPV receives an overall shape that resembles a baby Innova Crysta and sports a bold front grille with chrome accents, large projector headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, LED tail lamps and it also gets distinctive character lines across its body.

Its cabin sports a beige color scheme and is seen with a faux wooden dashboard, wood inserts on both steering wheel and doors along with a floating multimedia screen. The interiors are spacious with a 7 seater layout. Third row seats can be reclined individually and all seats can be folded for added luggage space in the boot area.

Speaking about features, India-spec Ertiga is more feature rich than the Ertiga sold in Indonesia. Facebook page Kendara has created a set of new images which compare features of India-spec Ertiga with that of Indonesia-spec Ertiga. Differences include – 7 inch touchscreen of Indian Ertiga vs the 6.8 inch screen of Indonesian Ertiga.

Other features which are better in Indian spec Ertiga are more comfortable seats, arm rest for second row passengers, height adjustable seat belts for front passengers, futuristic instrument control with colour MID, advanced AC controls, etc. You can take a look at the images below to see the comparison.
