McLaren Automotive revealed the new 650S prior to it’s debut at 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Now, the car has been detailed in a new video by EVO. Touted as the most engaging, and best equipped series production supercar to date, 650S offer outstanding handling ability, enhanced transmission and better drivability and precision.
McLaren 650S front splitter contributes to increased downforce by 24%, leading to a higher level of steering feeling and more confidence to driver. Car’s handling balance and agility has also been improved. Interiors remain the same as those seen on board the 12C, with Alcantara surfaces on dashboard and seats along with racing style seats with carbon fiber back, electric steering column adjustable for easier entry and exit and a rear parking camera.
Engine updates include a 3.8 liter bi turbocharged V8 engine offering a total of 650 hp peak power and 678 Nm torque mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox. As against 12C, new McLaren 650S can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.0 seconds, 0.1 seconds less, while acceleration from 0 to 200 kmph is improved by 0.5 seconds to stand at 8.4 seconds.
