New Mercedes Benz C-Class Cabriolet is launched in India just a month after launch of the C-Class Facelift. This new Cabriolet is Mercedes Benz India’s 11th product launch this year. They continue to be No 1 luxury car maker in India, in spite of posting 19% decline for quarter ending July 2018.
2018 Mercedes Benz C-Class open top luxury sedan further extends the C-Class range with open top motoring is presented in two new metallic paint finishes of Mojave Silver and Selenite Grey beside one special paint Designo Selenite Grey Magno. Its exteriors are noted with new multibeam LED headlamps, restyled bumpers and new alloy wheels.
The state of the art interiors are seen in Magma Grey leather and two new trims of Anthracite wood oak grey and open pore walnut wood. Buyers can customize the interiors in their selected color scheme of red and black while the fabric roof can be opted for in a choice of four colors of red, black, blue and brown. The top opens and shuts at a speed of 40 kmph and can be opened and folded remotely via a key fob.
The new Cabriolet gets a 10.25” touchscreen infotainment system with updated COMAND system with smartphone integration and also sports the new NTG 5.5 Telematics. Ambient lighting in a choice of 64 colors accentuates the interiors of the C-Class Cabriolet.
Engine specifications include a 2 liter petrol engine offering 258 bhp power at 5,800-6,100 rpm and 370 Nm torque at 1,800-4,000 rpm mated to a 9 speed 9G Tronic automatic gearbox. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 6.2 seconds while top speed stands at 250 kmph.
While the standard Mercedes Benz C-Class is being locally assembled at the Mercedes Benz Chakan plant, the Coupe and Convertible models come in as completely built units (CBUs) to be assembled at the same plant.
