Launched in India, this super luxury sedan is the most luxurious car on offer by the company in the country. It is the first car in India to come with a BS6 compliant petrol engine.
Brought into India via the CBU route, Mercedes-Maybach S650 is powered by a 5980cc V12 engine offering 630 bhp peak power and 1000 Nm peak torque mated to automatic transmission. Mercedes Benz claims that the new S600 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph.
The ultra luxury saloon identified by its exclusive wheel design and Maybach logo on C Pillar is the most luxurious product in the company’s global portfolio. It sits on an extended wheel base which results in added interior space while its opulent interior is dominated by electrically adjustable individual rear seats along with a host of convenience, comfort and infotainment features.
Internal heating and cooling, besides massage function, ambient lighting and cabin atomizer are among its interior luxuries while the car itself is fitted with state of the art safety and driver assistance systems. It also gets multibeam LED headlight, new LED taillight, radar based driver assistance systems, magic body control, magic sky control, etc.
The Exclusive trim package is fitted as standard with handcrafted wood trim, nappa leather upholstery and analogue clock with an IWC design. Silver plated handcrafted champagne flutes and a Burmester high end 3D surround system are also a part of its interior makeup.
Mercedes-Maybach S650 competes with the likes of Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost.
