New MINI Paceman comes in refreshed design to Beijing

New MINI Paceman was revealed at the ongoing 2014 Beijing Motor Show. Boasting of a fresh exterior and sportier interior, the new Paceman also gets a new four-cylinder petrol engine. On display at 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the new MINI Paceman features a refreshed design, and an tech spec sheet which shouts of balance between performance and fuel consumption.

The new MINI Paceman 1 front shotTo be offered with a range of four cylinder engine options, the base model will be powered by the new 1.4l generating 122 hp. As far as the top of the line models is concerned, it will be the most powerful to date. Mini Paceman John Cooper Works gets 218 hp engine.

All models will be compatible with EU6 emission norms. For transmission, 6 speed manual is standard, while automatic is available as an option. Luggage capacity is at 330 litres, and can be extended to 1080 litres by lowering rear seats.

The three door, four seater Paceman receives a new front grille, new range of alloy wheels of 19” diameter and headlights with an option of LED function for daytime running lamps and fog lamps. New colors on board the MINI Paceman include Jungle Green metallic and Midnight Gray metallic and while contrasting roofs in black or white come at no extra cost it is a contrasting Chilli Red roof that is exclusive to the MINI John Cooper Works Paceman.

Interiors are accentuated with new anthracite coloured instruments and chrome accents while interiors are fitted with sound deadening material to add to the MINI acoustic comfort. The 2014 Paceman lineup will go on sale globally from July 2014.
