New Mitsubishi Outlander teased on Indian website – Launch soon
Mitsubishi India has confirmed that the new Outlander SUV will be launched soon. Mitsubishi will be relaunching the Outlander nameplate in India after it was discontinued in 2013.
Sporting the new “Dynamic Shield” design, all-new Mitsubishi Outlander SUV gets front fascia, a well defined new front grille, slender headlights and new front fenders, the new Mitsubishi Outlander is all set for India launch ahead of the festive season. It sits on 18” alloy wheels and sports a new rear bumper along with LED tail lamps.
Boasting of “over 100 engineering and design improvements”, various modifications are seen in interiors of the new Mitsubishi Outlander. These include new steering wheel, upgraded infotainment system and better seats and higher headliner.
Under its skin, improvements include new chassis, redesigned suspension and new electric power steering system while lower NVH levels are also promised along with thicker rear door glass, weather stripping and sound deadening materials.
Internationally, new Mitsubishi Outlander is powered by a 2.4 liter four cylinder petrol engine offering 166 bhp power and 220 Nm torque and a 3.0 liter V6 petrol engine offering 224 bhp power and 290 Nm torque mated to a CVT automatic transmission. In India, you can expect to get the 2.4 liter option along with Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) setup.
Guaranteed to appeal to buyers where value, quality and on board safety features are concerned, new Mitsubishi Outlander abounds in safety features that include increased body and suspension rigidity, Electric Power Steering, Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
Mitsubishi Motors plans a good year of sales with this new launch. Expect the car to be priced in the range of INR 27-29 lakh, ex-showroom.
