MRF Revz FC and C tyres are famous among Yamaha FZ, Fazer, Honda CBR 250R and 150R users, as they serve as more rounder replacement for their stock tyres giving an impression of providing better cornering ability. Originally, the pair was designed for KTM Duke 200 and it is the stock set for the Austrian naked bike. The MRF Revz tyres are also preferred by KTM Duke 390 and RC 390 users when they run out of bucks probably in fuelling. But, while the Revz C and FC tyres may be safe for aforementioned Yamaha and Honda products, the set is not advisable for KTM RC 390 and Duke 390, because the bigger displacement bike far exceeds the speed rating of the tires. It may not be a problem while riding in city, but pulling an all-nighter or an iron butt challenge with these shoes may turn out to be quite unsafe.
Which is why the Chennai-based tyre manufacturer has launched Revz FC1 and C1 tyres with higher speed rating and some more wriggly grooves on outer edges to suit the 390s. They wear price tags of Rs. 2,683 and Rs. 3,600 respectively, which means one can save around Rs. 10,000 from purchasing the Metzelers at Rs. 7,425 (front) and Rs. 8,735 (rear), together Rs. 16,160.
