Nissan Kicks dispatch starts – 500 owners to get free Cricket World Cup ticket

New Nissan Kicks SUV is now ready for launch in India. Ahead of that, Nissan has started dispatching the Kicks to dealers across India from the company plant in Chennai. Apart from this, Nissan also revealed a lucky draw for Kicks owners. 500 lucky owners will get free tickets to ICC Cricket World Cup later this year.

Nissan Kicks is the official car of the 2019 ICC World Cup. Winners will be chosen via lucky draw. In order to participate in the draw, you need to have booked a Nissan Kicks in the month of January. Booking amount is Rs 25,000. You can either book it via Nissan website, or at a dealer near you.

India-spec Nissan Kicks is positioned on the B0 platform, unlike its international spec model which is based on the V-platform. The B0 platform also underpins the Renault Duster and Captur, besides the Nissan Terrano. Post the launch of Kicks, Terrano will be discontinued from the line-up.

In terms of dimensions, the Nissan Kicks measures 4,384 mm in length, 1,813mm in width and 1,649-1,656mm in height. It has a 2,673mm long wheelbase. On board features will include LED projector headlamps, four colour options; all of which will come in with a contrasting roof and a shark fin antenna.

Interiors will be seen with segment first features such as leather covered dashboard, leather seating, a 360 degree view camera, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, cornering lamps and an 8” touchscreen infotainment system with Android and Apple integration along with Nissan Connect. Safety features include ABS with EBD as standard along with 4 airbags, hill start assist and traction control.

Nissan Kicks will be offered in two engine options that include 1.5L H4K petrol and 1.5L K9K dCi diesel. The 1,461cc diesel engine will offer 110 PS at 3,850 rpm and 240 Nm at 1,750rpm mated to a 6 speed manual while the 1,498cc petrol engine will produce 106 PS at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm at 4,000 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.

Set to compete with Hyundai Creta, Maruti S Cross and Renault Duster, prices of the Nissan Kicks, is expected to range between Rs.9.5-12.5 lakhs, ex-showroom.
