At 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, production version of brand new Nissan Lannia sedan has been unveiled, announcing an all-new model exclusive to the world’s largest auto market.The Japanese automaker goes on the record stating Lannia is the first model crafted with young Chinese generations in mind, specifically the post-1980s and 90s. Titus Liu, Nissan Design China’s Creative Design Manager, says the target audience are those who do not wish to adhere to status quo and demand next generation aspects in a car. He added, Chinese market is moving very fast and nothing short of next great breakthrough will guarantee retention of public’s interest in the brand.
Nissan Lannia sedan looks a bit duller than the concept forms it was previewed by, but is crafted with the company’s latest design philosophies, including V-motion grille, floating roof, kick-up C-pillar and boomerang-shaped head lamps. Interiors look amazingly trendy and the touch of red injects more than just a fair amount of sportiness. Not to mention the flat-bottomed steering wheel and flamboyant gear rod.
In addition to styling, Nissan has spent good efforts in bringing the car up to speed on technology front. The Lannia sedan hosts a 7-inch infotainment screen on centre console which gives access to an advanced music system with smartphone connectivity. Apart from luxury, features of safety are also given careful consideration. Specifics are quite scarce at this point. Launch is slated for last quarter of 2015.
