New Nissan Qashqai facelift debuts at 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Showcased at 2017 Geneva Motor Show and set for sales across Europe from July this year, 2018 Nissan Qashqai gets new exterior design elements and interior driver and passenger comforts. A completely new front end, company’s V-motion grille, new bonnet and front bumper along with redesigned light clusters are seen on its front end while lights at the rear get a boomerang light motif with 3D lens effect.

Interiors are done up in quality fabric while dashboard design is also modified offering better operation and boasting of the company’s latest technologies. The multi function steering wheel gets satin chrome inserts and a new four way controller for gauges is also evident.

A notable addition on the new Nissan Qashqai facelift is semi autonomous ProPilot technology which allows for better steering, accelerating and decelerating when travelling on a single lane across highways. Infotainment in the form of NissanConnect Infotainment system with DAB digital radio and satellite navigation will also be evident with a Bose 7 speaker audio system offered as an option.

In terms of safety, the 2018 Nissan Qashqai receives Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Traffic Sign Recognition, Driver Attention Alert, Intelligent Park Assist, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Warning. A thicker rear glass ensures lower NHV levels.

2018 Nissan Qashqai sees no change in engine specifications and continues to be powered by a 1.5 litre dCi engine offering 110 PS peak power which is low in auto emissions which stand at 99g/km. While exact price details have not been revealed, estimates put the new Qashqai SUV at around $22,000 (INR 14,66,190).
