Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd has been driving a one-horse chariot in the domestic market and that horse is Magnite SUV. Now, Nissan is on the verge of a portfolio expansion and will soon launch Gravite sub 4m MPV along with their highly anticipated Tekton mid size SUV. Tekton will share its platform with soon-to-launch Renault Duster.
Tekton is expected to debut soon and will put Nissan Motor India back on the map where premium mainstream SUVs are concerned. It will enter a segment which is highly contested. When launched, Nissan Tekton will be the 15th C SUV (4.2m to 4.4m) to be sold in India. Ahead of launch, rendering artist Pratyush Rout has penned down his vision based on the teasers and spy shots. Let’s take a closer look.

Nissan Tekton SUV Rendered
Where C Segment 4.2m to 4.4m SUVs are concerned, Nissan’s last offering was the Kicks. It was a premium offering positioned above Terrano. Sort of like the Captur above Duster with Renault. With boxy proportions, Nissan Tekton looks butch and muscular, which will work in its favour in India.
These renders encapsulate the same and shows a boxy side silhouette, a flat-ish front fascia, clamshell design flat bonnet with muscular creases, end-to-end LED DRL signature to accentuate the width and chunky body claddings to assert dominance. As seen with previous spy shots, Tekton will come equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 225-section tyres.

Nissan is going for simple yet impactful design with Tekton unlike a few rivals with polarising designs. The LED headlights are sleek and are engulfed within the DRL signature. There are two connected DRL elements one above and a twin element in the middle. Bumper is designed intricately with Silver elements for contrast.

Alloy wheels get a dual-tone appearance. There are some appliques on front doors near the quarter-panels. Rear door handles are on C Pillar, which looks modern. These renders have privacy glass for rear windows, but production version is not likely to. Nissan Tekton will come with tall roof rails which will accentuate its height further.
What to expect?
ORVMs are large and there are interesting LED tail lights as well. On the inside, Nissan Tekton might come with features and equipment expected with this segment. These include a panoramic sunroof, an auto-dimming IRVM, large screens with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronic parking brake, auto climate control, cruise control, ADAS, leatherette upholstery and more.

Where powertrains are concerned, Nissan Tekton is expected to come with Petrol engines only, no diesel. Just like Renault Duster, there might be a Hybrid version later. An exact launch timeline is not known, but Nissan Tekton is likely to launch in H1 2026. Rivals include Tata Sierra, Curvv, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Citroen Basalt and Aircross.
