New Nissan X-Trail to launch in India at 2016 Auto Expo

New Nissan X-Trail India launch

Competition will come from Skoda Yeti, Honda CR-V and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Launch of the New Nissan X-Trail in India is a long time coming. The new gen crossover made its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show but the brand’s Indian subsidiary has been quite unsure about bringing it here.

Considering the flourishing premium SUV market, it’s better late than never. Overdrive reports that the new X-Trail will be making its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 which is scheduled to take place in February.

Unlike the previous gen X-Trail which marked the Japanese automaker’s entry into India, the new crossover is neither boxy nor a 5-seater. The new design comprises trademark Nissan V-Motion front grille, sleek headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, smooth sheet metal surfaces and angular taillights.

Nissan is expected to offer the fully loaded variants in India so expect the premium crossover to pack in 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Descent Control, HSA, Traction Control System, Cruise Control, dual-zone automatic climate control, Around View Monitor and so on.
