New Renault Duster Dakar edition launched in Brazil – Price BRL 74,090
The special edition of 2017 Renault Duster will be presented in 1.6 and 2.0 liter engines, with manual and automatic transmission and 4x2 and 4x4 traction.
2017 Renault Duster Dakar edition has been officially launched in Brazil. As the name suggests, it pays homage to the Dakar Rally, one of the most grueling cross country rally event that is conducted every year.
This special edition is seen with the Dakar Rally emblem, distinctive side stickers and 16” dual tone black alloy wheels with diamond accents. It also gets black coated rear view mirrors with extensive body cladding on sides, an extra set of fog lamps and massive bumper.
Duster Dakar Edition gets a “Dakar Rally” logo on the front door while the lower part of the doors carry a decal representing the map of the popular rally. It sports black plastic inserts on the bumpers. The car will be offered in White Neige, Silver Etoile, Nacre Black and Brown Safari exterior color options.
Interiors are dominated by Dakarlogo on each of the seats, beige dashboard panel and leather upholstery in contrasting accents. It gets standard equipment to include air conditioning, electro hydraulic steering and parking sensor along with cruise control and camera. It also receives electric mirrors, 7” MEDIANAV touchscreen with GPS and audio system with four speakers.
AUX and USB along with Bluetooth connectivity is a standard feature. It also comes with features like Eco Coaching and Eco Scoring that are aimed at inculcating economic driving habits in the drivers.
Now on sale at prices ranging between BRL 74,090 to BRL 87,220 (INR 15,23,892 to INR 17,93,952), the 2017 Renault Duster Dakar edition is powered by 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter flex fuel engines. These engines are mated to manual or automatic transmission while the top end 2.0 liter variant is also presented with a 4WD system.
