2015 Maruti DZire facelift spied testing, expected launch soon
Maruti Swift DZire facelift is scheduled for a launch in early 2015. Recently, the car was spied testing without any major camouflage, giving away some details of what one can expect to see both in exteriors.
Borrowing heavily from the new Swift, the new Desire is primarily a copy of its existing model with some minor changes which will include redesigned headlamps, a single chrome grille and longer air vents and fog lamps receiving chrome accents. Top end variant of the new DZire will be seen sitting on 15 inch alloy wheels.
Earlier spy shots suggest, interiors of the 2015 Maruti Swift DZire will receive 60:40 split seats at the rear while driver seat is can be adjusted according to height. The rear end will retain the same layout as seen on its current version with slight modifications to bumper and boot lid.
Engine specifications will be the same, 1.2 liter K Series petrol producing 83 PS power and 115 Nm peak torque and 1.3 liter multijet diesel engine slated to produce 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque, as seen on its current counterpart. They might be tweaked for better fuel efficiency, as was the case with new Swift. The new DZire facelift will receive ABS with EBD along with electrically adjustable wing mirrors, push start/stop button and six speaker sound system with Bluetooth and iPod compatibility.
Launching in an expected price range of INR 5.5-8.5 lakhs, the new DZire facelift will compete with Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest.
