New Tata Kite hatchback rendering envisioned from spy shots
The latest rendering of Tata Kite hatchback suggests incorporation of varied elements taking inspiration from successful products in and outside the brand, and the amalgamation seems to be consistent with the spy pictures.
Tata Kite hatchback will replace the age-old Indica but it is expected to bring a whole new perspective to the brand. Tata Motors has developed a customer-focused strategy called Horizonext which branches out to Design Next, Drive Next and Connect Next. Through this meticulous exercise of shaping future products to be customer-centric, offering desirable design, features and driving pleasure, Tata Motors is working towards peeling off the taxi-maker label and become an amicable family car maker.
Kite hatchback and sedan will be driven by the company’s new 1.2 litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine that debuted in Zest compact sedan and featuring in recently launched Bolt hatchback. The engine is capable of pushing out 90 PS max power and 140 Nm peak torque, and comes with three (selectable) dive modes – Eco, City and Sport. But in Kite, the motor may not be accompanied by a turbocharger, and drive mode selection may also be taken out of the deck.
